The Vortx staking system is designed to be accessible while maintaining security and quality in the oracle network. Users can stake any amount of VORTX tokens they wish, with no minimum requirements for basic participation.

However, becoming an Oracle requires a more substantial commitment. Users must stake at least 10,000 VORTX tokens to qualify for Oracle status, which grants them voting rights on market resolutions and access to oracle-specific rewards.

This threshold serves multiple purposes: it ensures that oracles have sufficient skin in the game to make accurate decisions, prevents spam voting from low-commitment participants, and maintains the economic security of the resolution process.

The system automatically activates Oracle status when a user crosses this threshold and deactivates it if their stake falls below the requirement.

The staking mechanism includes a mandatory 7-day withdrawal lockup period that applies to all staked funds, regardless of the amount. This lockup serves as a crucial security feature, preventing rapid exit during market manipulations and ensuring long-term commitment from participants.
